While working on my Day to Night™ series, I visited the Vatican Museum in Italy and was captivated by the extraordinary tapestries adorning its walls. Their intricate layering, rich storytelling, and vibrant colors woven into textured yarn sparked a question in my mind: Could I achieve a similar effect through photography?

This curiosity led to the creation of my Tapestries series—an exploration of time, movement, and texture within a single image. Each photograph is captured in-camera over the span of 4 to 8 seconds, blending multiple exposures to evoke a sense of woven reality. Unlike Day to Night™, which unfolds over 24 to 36 hours, Tapestries condenses time into a fleeting yet immersive experience.
The series spans both urban and natural landscapes, revealing the ever-changing textures of the world around us. My goal is to capture more than just a scene—I aim to evoke a feeling, an emotion, an essence. Whether it’s the shimmering surface of water, the crisp stillness of snow on a winter morning, the graceful sway of a tree, or the delicate scent of spring flowers, Tapestries offers a new way of seeing—a moment woven into time itself.
