Form, Function, and Humor: The Essence of Björn Keller's Photography
Björn Keller, born in 1946, is a legendary still life photographer who has made Fårö, a quaint island in the Baltic Sea, his home and workplace after spending many years in Stockholm, Sweden. Known for his unique ability to capture the essence of objects by blending form and function, Keller's photography is characterized by its meticulous sense of form, striking visual juxtapositions, and a subtle sense of humor. His work, which draws inspiration from the natural world, seamlessly bridges his commercial assignments and personal art projects. Since the 1970s, Keller has held numerous exhibitions both within Sweden and internationally, showcasing his talent in both commercial and artistic realms. His distinctive contributions to photography are recognized and celebrated in prestigious collections such as Moderna Museet in Stockholm and the Absolut Art Collection, where his work is featured under the moniker "Absolut Keller."
