A visual journey through a variety of eras, places, and emotions, featuring some of the world’s most famous individuals. Moments that will never return but continue to live on through these masterpieces.
Albert Watson has made a name for himself as one of the world’s most successful and prolific photographers since he began his career in 1970. Blending art, fashion, and commercial photography, he has created some of the most iconic images ever seen. From portraits of Alfred Hitchcock, Kate Moss, and Steve Jobs, to landscape shots from Las Vegas and still lifes of artifacts from King Tutankhamun’s tomb. Watson’s versatility and diversity in his work are unmatched. His striking photographs and superb handmade prints are displayed in galleries and museums worldwide. The photo industry’s bible, Photo District News, named Albert one of the 20 most influential photographers of all time, alongside Irving Penn and Richard Avedon, among others.
Many of the images are iconic fashion photographs or portraits of rock stars, rappers, actors, and other celebrities. Albert has also created photographs for hundreds of advertising campaigns for major companies, such as Prada, the Gap, Levi’s, Revlon, and Chanel. He has shot dozens of film posters for Hollywood movies, such as ”Kill Bill” and ”Memoirs of a Geisha,” and has directed over 100 TV commercials.
Meanwhile, Albert has spent much of his time working on art projects for museum and gallery exhibitions, showcasing his renowned portraits and fashion photographs, along with powerful images from his travels and interests.
