Jockum Klenell: Master of Scandinavian Calm in Photography - Award-Winning Portfolio

Jockum Klenell was born in 1978 in Stockholm, Sweden. Growing up in Buenos Aires, Argentina and Rotterdam, The Netherlands, he ended up graduating from highschool in Antwerp, Belgium 1998.

During a 2 year stay in Barcelona he discovered photography and began his studies at Grisart Escola International de Fotografia. In 2002 he enrolled in The Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Art and graduated with honors and two awards. Since then he has worked for several publishers such as Marie Claire, ELLE, Vice magazine and so forth.

Jockum’s style of photography is Scandinavian calm, tranquility, honest and attentive to aesthetics and natural beauty. Elegance in shape, form and language is key. He strives for a natural feel in his imagery and is equally strong in emphasising vulnerability, frailty in his subjects, being landscapes or models.
