"Once There Were Polaroids"Instant photography based on Jonas Wettre’s personal encounters with the world’s most accomplished photographers during his ten years working at the legendary art and photo book publisher Steidl in Göttingen, Germany. Using either a Polaroid SX-70 Landcamera with its classic squared format, or an EE-100 sheet film camera. The close work with the artists, different brands, different film qualities and different locations creates a personal touch. Wettre’s unconventional portraits of the artists give a unique insight into book production at “Steidlville” with Gerhard Steidl and Polaroid as their subject.
